Hello everyone! Today, I’m excited to share my review and 1-month experience at 'The Fighting MMA', a martial arts gym that’s currently trending in the New Mactan area of Cebu!
Lately, it’s been really hard to find a specialized gym in Cebu, Philippines where you can properly learn Jiu-Jitsu, Boxing, and Muay Thai under expert guidance. Finally, an oasis-like MMA gym has opened right here in New Mactan! 🥊🥋
📍 How to Get There & Location Guide (Grab / Google Maps Tip)
Search for 'UncleJACK' on Grab, Google Maps, or the Move It app, and you’ll easily find the location!
UncleJACK is a well-known building in New Mactan that almost everyone recognizes. Once you arrive at the 1st floor of the UncleJACK building, you’ll find 'The Fighting' gym right next to the massage spa frequented by many tourists.
Address: 1F, UncleJACK Restaurant, Vistamar Road, Mactan, Lapu-Lapu City, Cebu, PH 6016
Parking Info: A spacious free private parking lot is available, so you won't have to worry about parking whether you arrive by car or motorcycle!
Amenities: Separate male and female changing rooms, designated outdoor smoking area.
🥊 Friendly Korean Head Coach & Clean, Modern Facilities
As soon as you open the gym doors, you'll be warmly greeted by the friendly Korean head coach at the front desk! He kindly explains everything about classes and registration in detail, making it easy and comfortable even for first-time visitors to get consultation.
In front of the counter, there are 3 mini tables where members can relax. It’s a cozy spot perfect for unwinding, sipping a drink, and chatting with other members before or after workouts. ☕
🥋 Class Programs & My 1-Month Experience
Stepping into 'The Fighting' gym, you'll see a spacious and clean professional mat setup for safe training. Experienced head coaches and assistant instructors provide close, step-by-step guidance to ensure safety and quality training.
The gym is open from Monday to Saturday, 9:00 AM to 9:00 PM. One of the biggest advantages is that you can flexibly choose between 1-on-1 private lessons and group classes based on your personal schedule!
💡 My Personal Experience with Jiu-Jitsu!
I’ve been training here for a month now, and after my very first Jiu-Jitsu class, I realized, \"Ah, this is what real fighter techniques feel like!\" I instantly fell in love with the sport. It is highly recommended as the ultimate self-defense discipline to protect yourself! 🔥
🌏 Welcoming Environment for Everyone – A Family-Like Atmosphere
With MMA gaining global popularity, the gym accommodates a wide age group ranging from teens to people in their 50s—including local Filipino youth dreaming of becoming future MMA fighters.
Korean members and friendly local Filipino members train together in a warm, welcoming, and family-like atmosphere.
Classes can be conducted in both Korean and English, so you don't have to worry about any language barrier!
